What does a Yoga Teacher do when not doing Yoga?

Artist / Musician - Colin Harris

Bodhitsatva by Colin Harris

During the past 3 years of “blogging” – I have interviewed AIDSLifeCycle Participants, S.F. AIDS Walk Participants, Sports Basement, AIDS Prevention Advocate – Barbara , Author – Spill Kincaid, witnessed the humane actions of Oprah Winfrey, drank Fat Tire Beer, rode the hell out of my Soulcraft, sang “Whitney Houston” & finished singing with the Queen of Soul – Aretha Franklin . …

Yet, I have neglected to speak of my core set of friends – the community – “the Sangha.” So let’s continue the tribute to those who make my heart soar; to the people who take that extra step; to the one’s who remove ignorance; to the one’s who empower; and to the one’s who see roses where there are rose and thorns where there are thorns . . . .

Artist - Musician - Colin Harris

Artist/Musician – Colin Harris lives on the other side of the eastern wall of my bedroom. Being house mates, we’ve experienced a great deal together. Practicing Aikido, Ju-Jitsu, Judo, Yoga, (and then some), Colin Harris possess the lightness of the ninja mixed with a touch of Yoda. And being that he runs with the Retrograde Revolution, he knows how to kick back & rock the house!

Today, while chilling in the living room, I asked Colin a few questions – here’s the scoop:

If you could change the world with just one blink – what would happen?

– Justice

What would you like to express to the internet Art Community?

– Keep it honest. Keep it balanced. Keep it beautiful & real. Don’t lie to yourself because you are your only meter.

  • And every transport system would be 4 free!

Who has been your greatest spiritual teacher and why?

What do you think is the best thing to spend one’s time doing and why?

Using the power of your mind to manifest everything you dream of!

Yoga Teacher - Paul Tucci

Yoga Teacher, Paul Tucci

Education: B.S., Northeastern Univ., Boston , MA
Height: 5’6″
Weight: 140
Age: 45
Occupation: Yoga Teacher

Favorite Book: Dry & The Power of Now

From kicking my ass on training bike rides, to fixing a mean cocktail at the Powerhouse, Paul Tucci has continued to be a supportive friend. Yet more recently, he’s become the upcoming yoga teacher. Here’s what he had to say:

What “serious injuries” has yoga assisted you in recovering from?
– Sciatica

What style of yoga are you presently teaching?

Anna Forrest Yoga (Hatha Yoga Flow)

If you could change the world with one blink – what would happen?

– Peace

Why is it that you have chosen to become a hatha yoga teacher?

– I would like to help heal the world, one person at a time. I have been so inspired by the lessons that i have learned from my teachers that I feel it is my duty to pass those sacred teachings on to the world. I want to feel good about what I do in this lifetime, and know that I might have contributed to something good in this world.

In your personal yoga practice – what is the greatest thing you have learned?

– EGO. I have so much of it, and that it has caused me to injur myself. It is always about non-violence towards oneself. The first Yama of yoga is Ahimsa (non-violence). It all starts on the mat, and it relates to what you do off the mat.
