Moments ago, I opened an email from 16th Yr Avon Breast Cancer Walk, Veteran Walker, Irene Kelley. And as I read the email, A BIG SMILE CAME TO MY FACE. So, I sent her $75.00!
Dear Tony,
Today, I received a letter from the Avon Foundation for Women regarding my fundraising for the Avon Breast Cancer Walk. The letter stated:
“To put your heroic fundraising into perspective $10,000 could cover the cost of a lumpectomy for FOUR (4) uninsured patients, as well as provide EIGHTEEN (18) mammograms to uninsured women, who otherwise may not have access to care.” 
It is 10 days until the Avon Breast cancer walk in Santa Barbara, California. I have raised $13,886.26, which means I am $2,113.73 short of my goal. With your donation I am sure I can reach this goal. You and I are fortunate & blessed to have health care, but so many women and men will go without care because they are medically undeserved in their communities.
Some will lose their lives to this disease leaving behind families to cope with a devastating loss.
Together we can make a difference in our local communities.
So how can you assist in the fight against Breast Cancer?
Your part is easy. You can make a donation from the comfort of your home or office. My part is a little tougher. I will walk 39.3 miles over 2 days in the heat on concrete, asphalt, hills, and dirt trails.
