At the age of ten, I planted my first strawberry plant. As the plant grew; so did my love of gardening, meditation & Mother Nature..
In my early adulthood, for 15 years, I belonged to the Potrero Del Sol Community Garden in San Francisco. After clearing my garden plot of Jerusalem Artichokes, I grew an organic vegetable garden – heirloom tomatoes, green beans, onions, leeks, kale, swiss chard, jalapeno peppers, garlic, peas, potatoes & more. During that time in the garden;; I learned the art of Soil amendment – Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium, French intensive gardening, and organic composting.
Simultaneously, I was employed in the floral industry. As an event floral designer, daily at 5:00am, I roamed the San Francisco Flower Market. And over time, I learned to identify a variety of spring, summer and winter flowers & foliage. I became familiar with indoor / outdoor plants, identifying annuals & perennials, and creating beautiful color palettes.

Presently,, I can proudly say: I have “horned my craft.” I maintain & improve outdoor gardens, indoor vertical gardens, patios, rooftop gardens sidewalks & decks throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
