I dread this day of the ride.  Yet, it has the most wonderful view of the Califonia Coast Line.<\/p>\n<p>At mile 16.5, you reach an altitude of approximately 1800 ft. and you have just cycled up the &#8220;Evil Twins&#8221; (a 1.8 mile hill climb).  The crest of the Evil Twins is the official half way marker to Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ynottony.com\/ynot\/wp-content\/uploads\/endurance-300x200.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"5\" height=\"133\" alt=\"Half way to Los Angeles ..this painted sign marks the half way point of the AIDS Life Cycle Event\" src=\"http:\/\/ynottony.com\/ynot\/wp-content\/uploads\/endurance-300x200.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>From the Crest of the Evil Twins, you can see the California Coast Line.  It&#8217;s truely a wonderful site.  Also, at that moment, you know that you will soonly arrive in Pismo Beach.<\/p>\n<p>The approximate 9 mile downhill from the Evil Twins could easy reach 45 mph.<\/p>\n<p>Annually, at mile 66, I stop and visit the local Buddhist Temple.  I dismount my bike.  I take off my shoes.  I sit in Siddhasana.  And then, I begin to resite the Gayatri Mantra.<\/p>\n<p>Aum Bhur Bhuvah Swah Tat Savitur Varenyam<br \/>Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayat<\/p>\n<p>And then, I proceed to the finish.<\/p>\n<p>It was a wonderful ride.<\/p>\n<p>Some people were thinking of visiting the court trial of Michael Jackson (imagine that?).<\/p>\n<p>Wishing the best of all possible worlds,<br \/>tony<\/p>\n<p>Route: Paso Robles to Preisker Park, Santa Maria.<\/p>\n<p>Route Hours: 6:30am &#8211;
