Over the past 5 years, New Belgium Brewing Company<\/a> has graciously supported my endeavors by donating kegs of Fat Tire & Skinny Dip Beers for my Annual AIDSLifeCycle<\/a> Fundraising Parties. Yet, New Belgium does not stop there. Although being green<\/a> is not black or white, they believe “to be environmental stewards, we need to:<\/p>\n

  1. Lovingly care for the planet that sustains us.<\/li>\n
  2. Honor natural resources by closing the loops between waste and input.<\/li>\n
  3. Minimize the environmental impact of shipping our beer.<\/li>\n
  4. Reduce our dependence on coal-fired electricity.<\/li>\n
  5. Protect our precious Rocky Mountain water resources.<\/li>\n
  6. Focus our efforts on conservation and efficiency.<\/li>\n
  7. Support innovative technology.<\/li>\n
  8. Model joyful environmentalism through our commitment to relationships, continuous improvement, and the camaraderie and cheer of beer.”<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    And although Fat Tire Beer & New Belgium Brewing Company, walk the green path & will reward your for trading in your car for a bike. They also, travel the country giving graciously to local charity organizations like the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    So oil your bike chains and don your capes, crowns, tutus and tuxedos! New Belgium’s Tour de Fat is heading to San Francisco. And, it’s going to be the usual hoot & holler. And yes, I’ll be there – (look for the black dude in New Belgium Spandex<\/a>).<\/p>\n
