Last night, as I biked home from the Gray Area Foundation for the Arts<\/a>, I made a surprise visit to my good friends, “The Cook & Butler<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

As I entered their home, I was bombarded with samples of Scrumptious Smoothies, “mock tuna” romaine wraps, asian sesame kale salad, kale cabbage sea slaw with brazil nut hemp dressing, marinated stuffed crimini mushrooms with brazil nut parmesan, asian peanut broccoli slaw,<\/span><\/span><\/span> raw granola, <\/span>and raw vegan chocolate orange cheesecake.<\/p>\n

And as I devoured all the delectable menu items, I asked:<\/p>\n

Question: “What kind of preparation does it take to get ready for the Farmer’s Market?’<\/p>\n

Answer:<\/p>\n

Depending on the daily logistics, we buy fresh organic product from the Civic Center Farmers Market<\/a>, the Ferry Building Farmer’s Market<\/a>, make a pit stop at <\/span><\/span><\/span>Wills Avocados<\/a>, Yerena Farms<\/a>, & Rainbow Grocery<\/a> <\/span>(always good to see our farmers).<\/p>\n

And then we return to our kitchen to produce (depending on our private client’s needs & market days):<\/p>\n
