World AIDS Day, observed December 1 each year, is dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection. <\/p>\n

The concept of a World AIDS Day originated at the 1988 World Summit of Ministers of Health on Programs for AIDS Prevention. Since then, it has been taken up by governments, international organizations and charities around the world.<\/p>\n

It is common to hold memorials to honor persons who have died from HIV\/AIDS on this day. Government and health officials also observe, often with speeches or forums on the AIDS topics. Since 1995 the President of the United States has made an official proclamation on World AIDS Day. Governments of other nations have followed suit and issued similar announcements.” – Wikipedia<\/p>\n

Each year, on World AIDS Day I gather, produce & deliver care packages to the AIDS Inpatients of the San Francisco General Hospital to reassure them that they are not alone in the fight against the AIDS pandemic.<\/p>\n

If you would like to donate items for the care packages:<\/p>\n

1. Viisit Trader Joe’s, “Whole Paycheck,” Walgreens, Thrift Town, or your favorite store and pick up some things that you would enjoy receiving “if you were in the hospital.” <\/p>\n

2. Drop the items off at Yoga Tree [Shotwell Location] on Monday’s & Wednesdays], Club One Yerba Buena on Friday or contact me and let’s rendezvous.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
