{"id":6455,"date":"2014-08-29T02:52:00","date_gmt":"2014-08-29T02:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ynottony.com\/ynot\/avon-breast-cancer-walk\/"},"modified":"2015-03-21T03:32:13","modified_gmt":"2015-03-21T03:32:13","slug":"avon-breast-cancer-walk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ynottony.com\/ynot\/avon-breast-cancer-walk\/","title":{"rendered":"Avon Breast Cancer Walk"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\">Moments ago, I opened an email from <\/span><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\">16th Yr&nbsp; Avon Breast Cancer&nbsp; Walk, Veteran Walker, Irene Kelley.&nbsp; And as&nbsp; <\/span> I read the email, A BIG SMILE CAME TO MY FACE.&nbsp; So, I sent her $75.00!<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\"><br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/ynottony.com\/ynot\/wp-content\/uploads\/Avon-2BFoundation.jpg\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"http:\/\/ynottony.com\/ynot\/wp-content\/uploads\/Avon-2BFoundation.jpg\" height=\"136\" width=\"640\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\"><br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\">Dear Tony,&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\">Today, I received a letter from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.avoncompany.com\/corporatecitizenship\/avonfoundation.html\" target=\"_blank\">Avon Foundation for Women<\/a> regarding my fundraising for the Avon Breast Cancer Walk. &nbsp; The letter stated:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\">&#8220;To put your heroic  fundraising into perspective $10,000 could cover the <b>cost of a lumpectomy for <u>FOUR (4)<\/u>&nbsp;uninsured patients, as well as provide <u>EIGHTEEN (18)<\/u> mammograms to uninsured<\/b><\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\"><i><b>&nbsp;women<\/b>, who otherwise may not have access to care.&#8221;<\/i>&nbsp;<\/span><br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/ynottony.com\/ynot\/wp-content\/uploads\/Breast-2BCancer.jpg\" style=\"clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"http:\/\/ynottony.com\/ynot\/wp-content\/uploads\/Breast-2BCancer.jpg\" height=\"240\" width=\"320\" \/><\/a><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\">It is 10 days until the Avon&nbsp; Breast cancer walk in Santa Barbara, California.&nbsp; I have raised $13,886.26, which means I am $2,113.73 short of my  goal.
