Marine Corps Marathon | Yoga Teacher Runs

In 2011, at the age of 50, San Francisco Yoga Teacher, Tony Eason decided to step out of his comfort zone and do something out of the ordinary, To step out of the box.

Therefore On 29 July 2012, After putting the road bike aside & 1yr of marathon training, Tony became part of the 1% of 1% of the U.S. Population that completes a full 26.2 mile marathon by completing the San Francisco Marathon.

On 26 October 2014,, Tony Eason will be running the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington D.C in honor of the 26 years of military service of Master Gunnery Sergeant, Ralph Anthony Eason [his father].

And being that his father suffers from the complications of diabetes, he will be raising needed funds for the Diabetes Action Research and Education Foundation.

  • Diabetes is one of the most common and serious chronic diseases in the United States.
  • The incidence of both type 1 and type 2 diabetes is rapidly increasing.
  • 29 million Americans have diabetes, and 1 million more are diagnosed every year.
  • This includes 18,000 children who are diagnosed with type 1 diabetes each year.
