How to make or buy a Halloween Costume?

Although I have given up the Hallmark Holidays, there’s one day which continually stays in my mind – HALLOWEEN!

And with the Halloween season just around the corner,  I’m still not quite certain as to whether or not I shall attend a Halloween Party.  And, I have no idea who I’m gonna be nor what I am going to wear. Shall I be Andora from Bewitched? Donna Summers? Brad Pitt or Johnny Depp? A witch, vampire, ghost, clown, or bag lady  . . Well after speaking with Actor / Designer Richie Lillard, I have some options   .. . .

  1. Make a Halloween Costume.
  2. Purchase / rent a prepackaged costume from a local Halloween Shop.
  3. Visit my local thrift store & create a costume from existing garments.
  4. Hire Designer Richie Lillard to create a costume just for me.

As a San Francisco clothing designer, Actor & Designer Richie Lillard has created costumes for various .theater groups and private clients.  And to top it off, Richie Lillard (a.k.a. Louis XIV) knows “how to create a great Halloween costume on nearly any budget?”   Richie states, “in order to be successful, you must remember to keep an open mind & remember almost anything can be used as a piece of your costume.

Recently, Richie walked through the San Francisco, Mission District and visited Thrift Town (among other thrift stores) and gave costume advice on how to incorporate second hand and vintage clothing into your Halloween costume.
