Sports Basement - Free Yoga Classes - Yoga Teachers
- "In November 2008, as I was looking at the "Grotto" (community space) of Sports Basement, a light bulb went on. And, I began to ponder over the idea of using Sports Basement's community space to serve the yoga community. So to get the ball rolling, I began to teach free yoga classes each Sunday at Sports Basement.
A month later, I organized the first yoga teacher schedule, began the internet promotions, and then watched the students arrive. Since that time, the seed has blossomed. And, Sports Basement has applied my initial concept to their other store locations.
And now, I would just like to express my thanks & gratitude to all the yoga students who have attended & all the yoga teachers who have supported the idea of "free yoga Sundays" - making yoga accessible to every individual regardless of financial status

Team Raw came about as I have spent 5 years transitioning my diet. From a McDonald's eating meat eater I went vegetarian and then vegan for a couple of years. Amazing things happened. I lost 66lbs and 46 inches from my body. I became very curious about the effect of food on our mind and body. I used myself as my own case study.
When I finally came to raw foods I didn't understand the whole dehydrator and soaking/sprouting. So I bought a dehydrator and started reading recipe books...many books later I had an understanding of the general ingredients used. Presently, I am searching, in the San Francisco Bay Area, for venues where I can create another free yoga program (similiar to the one I created at Sports Basement) - making yoga accessible for every individual.
